How much is a transfer from Sofia to Burgas?

220 € for the whole sedan, and the price is the same whether we pick you up at an address in Sofia or at Sofia Airport. It is per vehicle, not per seat, and includes the driver, fuel, insurance and road tolls. The prices come from our Sofia price list and our Sofia Airport price list, which have the same rows to the coast.

Nessebar and Ravda cost the same as Burgas and Sunny Beach: 220 €, 280 € or 320 €. Pomorie is 220 € by sedan but 300 € by minivan and 330 € by minibus; Sveti Vlas and Elenite are 230 €, 300 € and 330 €, like Sozopol. Primorsko is 240 € by sedan. For four adults sharing a sedan, Sofia to Sunny Beach comes to 55 € each, door to door.

How long does the drive from Sofia to Burgas take?

About 4 hours 15 minutes for 390 km. The car takes the Trakia motorway (A1) east, past Plovdiv after about 1 hour 45 minutes, then Stara Zagora and Nova Zagora, and reaches Burgas along the lakes west of the city. Sunny Beach and Nessebar, further north along the coast, also take about 4 hours 15 minutes in total; Sozopol, south of Burgas, about 4 hours 30 minutes.

On a drive of more than four hours most people like a break. Tell the driver when you want to stop at a motorway petrol station for coffee or the toilet. If you want a longer stop, for example to walk through the old town of Plovdiv, mention it when you book and we tell you the price before the trip.

Where does the driver meet me?

At Sofia Airport the driver meets you in the arrivals hall of your terminal after baggage claim. We follow your flight: if it is early he is already there, and if it is delayed the waiting is free and has no time limit. Before the trip you get his name and phone number.

In Sofia city the driver comes to the address you give us at the agreed time and waits up to 15 minutes there. Many people fly into Sofia because there are more flights than to Burgas outside the summer, and go straight to the coast from the airport.

Burgas Airport to Sofia is 390 km and about 4 hours 15 minutes. From a hotel in Burgas or in the resorts, or if you need to go straight to Sofia Airport for a flight, we confirm the price when you book. The two directions are priced separately, so ask for the exact return price rather than assuming it is the same.

Car, bus, train or plane

There are four ways to cover Sofia to Burgas, and each suits a different traveller.

• Private transfer: one car from your door or the arrivals hall to the door of your hotel, at any hour, with all luggage in the boot. Best for families, groups, late flights and heavy bags.
• Bus: leaves from Sofia Central Bus Station, not from the airport, and takes longer than a car because of the stops. Cheapest for one person with light luggage.
• Train: runs from Sofia Central Railway Station to the centre of Burgas. Slower than a car, but relaxed if you are not in a hurry.
• Domestic flight: mainly in summer. The flight is short, but with check-in, waiting for bags and the ride from Burgas Airport to the resort, door to door it is often not much faster than the car.

With the bus, train or plane you still need a ride at both ends, and for Sunny Beach, Nessebar or Sozopol another transfer from Burgas. Check current timetables on the carriers’ own websites.

Can I bring skis, a pushchair or a dog?

Yes, tell us when you book and we send a vehicle where everything fits: pushchairs, bikes, surfboards, golf bags, and in winter skis. Infant carriers, child seats and boosters are free; tell us how many you need. For a pet, write to us with its size and we tell you how it can travel.

• Groups: up to 8 people in one minibus; bigger groups and Mercedes E-Class or S-Class cars on request.
• Night arrivals: we work 24/7, so a flight landing in Sofia at midnight is no problem.

How do I pay?

You pay the driver at the end of the trip. There is no prepayment and no deposit; we confirm the fixed price in writing before you travel. Tell us when you book if you need an invoice for your company.

Is the bus or train cheaper than a transfer?

Per seat, yes. But they start from central Sofia, take longer and end in central Burgas. For two or more people with luggage, a shared car is often close in price per person and much simpler.
