Burgas Airport to Ahtopol, Sinemorets and Varvara transfer

A private transfer from Burgas Airport to Ahtopol costs 100 € for a sedan with up to 4 passengers, 140 € for a minivan with up to 6 and 160 € for a minibus with up to 8. It is about 80 km and takes around an hour and a half. Sinemorets, a little further south, is 95 / 130 / 150 €, and Varvara is 90 / 120 / 140 €. The quiet end of the Bulgarian coast

South of Tsarevo the big resorts stop. The road runs through the oak forests of Strandzha, and the coast turns into rocky bays, river mouths and small places where most people stay in guest houses and family hotels. Ahtopol is the last town on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Sinemorets sits where the Veleka river meets the sea, and Varvara is a small village on the rocks between the two.

For all three, Burgas Airport is the one to fly to. From Varna Airport, Sinemorets is 210 km and 210 € by sedan; from Burgas it is 85 km and 95 €.

The drive south

From the airport the driver goes around Burgas and takes the coast road south, past the turn to Sozopol, then through Primorsko and Tsarevo. Up to Tsarevo the road is wide and busy in summer. After Tsarevo it becomes narrower and winds through the forest, with the sea appearing between the trees. Varvara comes first, after about an hour, then Ahtopol and Sinemorets at about an hour and a half.

There is no motorway and no border on this route; you stay well inside Bulgaria. Late in the evening the forest road is dark and has few lights, which is one more reason guests prefer a booked car to looking for a taxi at the airport. If you would like to stop for groceries on the way (there are bigger shops in Burgas and Tsarevo than in the villages), tell us when you book and we confirm the price.

Where you are staying

Ahtopol

Ahtopol is a small town with an old part on a rocky cape, a harbour with fishing boats and sandy beaches to the north. Many guests stay in family hotels in the narrow streets of the old part. Send us the exact address, and the driver stops as close to the door as the street allows.

Sinemorets

Sinemorets is a village on a hill between two beaches, one at the mouth of the Veleka river and one on a quiet bay. The houses are spread over the hill and along the road to the beaches. A pin from Google Maps or the name of your guest house helps the driver find the right gate.

Varvara

Varvara is the smallest of the three: a village of guest houses above small rocky coves, popular with people who want silence and clear water. Most places are on short side streets off the main road; with the exact address we take you all the way.

Meeting your driver and waiting time

At Burgas Airport the driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name. Before the trip you receive the driver’s name and phone number, and all our drivers speak English. We follow your flight: if it lands late, waiting at the airport is free and has no time limit.

On the way back, the driver comes to your address at the agreed time and waits up to 15 minutes there. Because of the forest road, we suggest leaving Ahtopol or Sinemorets at least three hours before your flight; send us the flight time and we tell you when to be ready.

Families, luggage and groups

• Child seats at no extra cost: infant carrier, child seat and booster. Tell us how many children travel and we bring the right seats.
• Luggage: a sedan takes up to 4 passengers with normal suitcases. With a pram, diving or fishing gear, or simply more bags, choose the minivan.

Booking and paying

You pay the driver at the end of the ride: no prepayment and no deposit. If you need a receipt or an invoice for a company, tell us when you book.

2. We confirm the fixed price and the details by chat or e-mail.
3. The driver meets you in arrivals, and you pay at the end of the trip.
