How much does a transfer from Sofia Airport to Plovdiv cost?

100 € for the whole sedan, not per person, in either direction. Both rows of the table come from our price lists: Sofia Airport for the trip to Plovdiv and Plovdiv for the trip back. The price is fixed when you book and does not change at night, at the weekend or because of a late flight.

A sedan takes up to 4 passengers with normal luggage. If you are four adults with large suitcases, or you travel with skis, a pushchair or a bike box, book the minivan: four people fit in a sedan, but four people and all their bags do not always fit. Groups of more than 8 and Mercedes E-Class or S-Class cars are on request.

Plovdiv Airport (Krumovo) is a separate destination in the Sofia Airport price list: about 165 km and 2 hours, for 110 € by sedan, 130 € by minivan and 150 € by minibus. If you are going to the city of Plovdiv, the row above (150 km, 100 €) is the one that applies.

How long is the drive from Sofia Airport to Plovdiv?

About 1 hour 45 minutes for roughly 150 km. Sofia Airport lies on the eastern edge of the city, so the driver does not need to cross the centre: he takes the ring road and joins the Trakia motorway (A1) towards Vakarel and Ihtiman. The motorway runs past Pazardzhik all the way to Plovdiv, and there is no border on the route. From the motorway exit it is a short drive to your hotel or flat.

Friday afternoons and the end of long weekends are the busiest times on the Trakia motorway, and road works can slow down a section for a few weeks. The driver checks the traffic before you set off. If you need a stop for coffee, a cash machine or a pharmacy on the way, just say so.

Where does the driver meet me at Sofia Airport?

In the arrivals hall of your terminal, after passport control and baggage claim. Sofia Airport has two terminals, so tell us your flight number and we send the driver to the right one. Before the trip you get the driver’s name and phone number, so you can call or write to him as soon as you land.

We follow your flight. If it lands early, the driver is already there; if it is delayed, waiting at the airport is free and has no time limit. When we pick you up at an address in Plovdiv, for example for your flight home, the driver arrives on time and waits up to 15 minutes. Plovdiv to Sofia Airport: the trip back

The return trip has its own row in our Plovdiv price list: 145 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes, 100 € by sedan, 120 € by minivan and 140 € by minibus. We pick you up at your hotel, flat or office anywhere in Plovdiv. Send us your departure time and we suggest a pick-up time with a buffer for traffic, check-in and security. For early-morning flights many travellers leave Plovdiv in the middle of the night; this is normal for us, because we work 24/7.

Plovdiv’s Old Town sits on a hill with steep cobbled lanes, and parts of the centre, such as the Kapana district and the main pedestrian street, are closed to cars. The driver stops as close to your door as the road allows. Send us the exact address and we will tell you in advance if you need to walk the last few metres.

Transfer, bus or train: what is the difference

There is no direct bus or train from Sofia Airport to Plovdiv. Without a car, you first take the metro or a taxi from the airport to central Sofia, then a coach from the bus station or a train from Sofia Central Station to Plovdiv, and finally a taxi to your address in Plovdiv. This is the cheapest way for one person with light luggage, but it takes longer and depends on timetables, so check them on the operators’ websites before you travel.

A private transfer takes you from the arrivals hall to your door without changes. For two or more people, or for a late-night landing, the difference in price per person is small: four people in a sedan pay 25 € each. Renting a car makes sense if you plan to drive around the region for several days.

Can I bring big luggage, skis or a pet?

Yes. Tell us about large suitcases, skis, snowboards, golf bags or a bike when you book, and we send a vehicle where everything fits. The driver helps you load the car. Bringing a dog or a cat? Tell us in your request and we will confirm the details of the ride.

• Child seats at no extra cost: infant carrier, child seat and booster. Tell us how many children travel with you.
• Groups: up to 8 people ride together in one minibus; for bigger groups we arrange a larger bus or several vehicles.

How do I pay?

You pay the driver at the end of the trip. There is no prepayment and no deposit: you book, we confirm the fixed price, and nothing is charged before you arrive in Plovdiv or at the airport. If you need a receipt or an invoice for your company, tell us when you book.
