Ski Transfers Winter 2026/27: Sofia & Plovdiv Airports to Bansko, Borovets, Pamporovo

Planning a ski week in Bulgaria this winter? Book your airport transfer now and the price is fixed today, with no prepayment. Below you will find our prices for the 2026/27 season from Sofia Airport and Plovdiv Airport to Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo, how long each drive takes, what the mountain roads are like in winter and how we handle skis, children and groups.

How to book: orders in English by phone, or in the chat in your language on WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram. We answer the chat almost instantly, day and night. No prepayment: you pay the driver on the day of the transfer.

Why book your winter transfer now

Most skiers book flights and hotels in October and November, and the transfer is the last piece of the plan. The ski season in Bulgaria usually runs from mid-December to the end of March, and the busiest days are the Christmas and New Year week, the February school holidays and the weekend changeover days, when many guests arrive on the same day. If your transfer is booked early, the right vehicle is planned for you before those days fill up.

  • Fixed price: the price we confirm now is the price you pay in winter, for the whole vehicle, not per person.
  • No prepayment: nothing to pay today. You pay the driver at the end of the trip.
  • Change of plans: new flight time or more people? Just send us the new details in the chat.
  • Both ways at once: book the return to the airport at the same time and you have the whole holiday sorted with one message.

Ski transfer prices 2026/27

The prices come from our Sofia Airport price list and our Plovdiv Airport price list. They include the driver, fuel, insurance and road tolls, and they do not change with the time of day or the amount of luggage.

For the return trip from the resort to the airport, ask for the price when you book: we confirm it in advance, so both ways are fixed. VIP class (Mercedes E-Class or S-Class) and larger buses are on request. For Bansko there is also a detailed guide comparing transfer, shuttle and bus: Sofia Airport to Bansko: transfer options, prices and times.

Which airport for which resort

Sofia Airport (SOF) has the most flights all winter and is the natural choice for Borovets (75 km) and Bansko (155 km). Plovdiv Airport (PDV) is small and quick to get through; it is the closest airport to Pamporovo (85 km). From Sofia, Pamporovo is 230 km, so if you have a choice of flights, Plovdiv saves you almost two hours on the road. For Bansko and Borovets both airports work; compare the flight times and the price of the transfer.

The mountain roads in winter

Borovets

The shortest ski transfer in Bulgaria. From Sofia Airport the driver takes the ring road towards Samokov, and the last few kilometres climb through the pine forest to the resort.

Bansko

From Sofia the route follows the Struma motorway south, then turns east at Simitli and crosses the Predela pass to Razlog and Bansko. Most of the way is motorway; the pass is the only real mountain section.

Pamporovo

From Plovdiv the road runs south through Asenovgrad and along the narrow Chaya river gorge, then climbs past Chepelare to the resort. It is a beautiful drive, with many bends, so passengers who get car-sick should sit in the front.

After heavy snowfall the roads are cleared, but the drive can take longer than the times in the table. The driver chooses the safest open road at that moment, and the agreed price does not change. For the flight home, add a buffer for snow and check-in; send us your departure time and we will suggest a pick-up time.

Skis, snowboards and child seats

  • Ski and snowboard bags: tell us how many when you book, together with the suitcases, so we send a vehicle with enough room. The price stays the same.
  • Car (up to 4): Skoda Octavia or similar, 2 large suitcases. With skis, a couple travels comfortably; a family of four with skis is better off in a minivan.
  • Minivan (up to 6): VW Caddy Maxi or similar, up to 4 large suitcases.
  • Minibus (up to 8): VW Transporter or similar, room for 8 suitcases and ski bags.
  • Child seats at no extra cost: infant carrier, child seat and booster. Tell us how many and which ones you need.

Groups, ski clubs and schools

Travelling with friends, a ski club or a school group? True Drivers is part of a group with around 200 cars, 50 minivans, 100 buses and 20 S-Class and E-Class cars, so we can move a whole group on the same flight together. Send us the number of people, the flight numbers and the hotel, and we will offer the right mix of minibuses and buses.

Meeting your driver at the airport

  • Meet and greet: the driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name. You get his name and phone number before the trip.
  • Flight tracking: we follow your flight, so an early or late landing is no problem.
  • Delayed flight: when your flight is late, waiting at the airport is free and has no time limit.
  • Pick-up at your hotel on the way home: the driver is there on time and waits up to 15 minutes.

We work 24/7, all season, so night landings and early-morning flights are no problem. To plan the rest of the trip, read How to plan a ski resort transfer in Bulgaria.

Booking in three steps

  1. Send us the date, flight number, airport, resort and hotel, the number of passengers and how many ski bags you have.
  2. We confirm the fixed price and the details in the chat or by e-mail.
  3. Your driver meets you in arrivals. You pay the driver at the end of the trip.
